Am I dead?

I guess not. Though, I fooled myself there.

It's been a long time since I've blogged, but so so so so much has happened since April, I can't even look back at what I wrote and say, "I remember being happy/tired/elated while i was writing that!"

I shouldn't have stopped blogging. It's a good outlet. I can just write, and not have to worry about making the plot work, or making the main characters fall in love. In real life, that stuff just happens, no matter how much you wish you could control it. Maybe that's why I like writing. Maybe I thrive on the fact that I can occasionally shape someone to how I want them, and make everything work out. In real life, stuff just doesn't work out nearly as well.

Anyway, I'm dead tired (due to band camp), I've got a horrible headache (due to band camp), and I'm not in the happiest mood (mostly due to band camp). But this isn't over, Blog. I'll be back very soon.

Connected!

My new home internet connection is connected! Woo! We have an awesome Linksys wireless router, and it's close enough to my Xbox for Live to work. So, yesterday, to celebrate, instead of posting on the blog or surfing the web, i went out to Gamestop and bought the two disc pack of Saint's Row and Saint's Row II. I haven't played yet, but i did let the Xbox instal all of its updates. All i need now is that new power cord and i'll be connected to the world once again!

Told You So!

Ha! I told you i was working on my internet problem. We're getting internet installed next Monday afternoon at my house. Hopefully, we'll buy a wireless router over the weekend. From there, it'll probably be about a month before i can get a new power cord for my laptop, but i can use my parent's laptop in the mean time, so i'll still blog. You'll hear from me a lot more soon!

Uh-Oh!

It's been over a month! And i still don't have internet! We're working on it, i promise. When i get that back, i'll be all over the internet and the blog; i promise.

Good News, Bad News

...In that order.

Good: I've rewritten chapter one, which is now a lot longer, and totally amazing.
Bad: I haven't had a chance to type it yet; my laptop's cord is still lost.

Good: I've also plowed a long way into chapter two. It is also longer and amazing, though unfinished.
Bad: Like i said, unfinished (synonym for bad, at least in my book [ha, pun]).

Good: I've gotten an amazing amount of Razia's Shadow music done.
Bad: Sadly, that amazing amount is only the rhythms for all the vocal parts of one song. Vocal-wise, i'm 10% done(ish)!

Good: In my region (and yours too, most likely), it is just a few weeks until official Spring, and the weather is already what i've heard refered to as "spring-y."
Bad: In my region, "spring-y" is also called tornado season.
Funny aside: The weatherman on a local news station ended his segment by saying, "Good Luck" the other day. What kind of place has weather so bad, the weatherman wishes those impresionable viewers "good luck"? Oh, yeah; where i live.

Good: I remembered the blog and am adding to the clutter of the internet just in case anyone out there cares.
Bad: Someday, they may need an Secretary of the Internet just because of me and my crazy generation.

Anywho--yes, anywho--I need to go. I'm distracting myself even further from anything productive like writing or arranging to go hang out with my friends at youth group. It's a Methodist youth group, and I'm Lutheran, so I don't really fit in, but they do good stuff. And it's basically just my mismatched friend group anyway. I think our youth group has someone from every form of Protestant still existant. It's weird to end this on a religious note, so I choose to lighten the mood with an ill-placed:
Hallelujah, Amen!

PS- Shout-out to Lauren, who's sitting right next to me in the library and probably won't ever know about this shout-out. You rock!

There has been a long pause in writing from me, but i can explain. I've currently been trying to fix my errors in Red Colony, because, after closer examination, my timeline was all screwy. So, I'll try to fix that as fast as possible. There's also the problem of my computer's power cord being missing, but my helpful school librarian Miss Naylor thinks she's seen it and is on the lookout. After that's resolved, i should be able to move the files from the other chapters to my laptop, then i can fix the stuff that's messed up and work on new stuff.
In other news, i hope you escaped the blizzard unscathed. There's a ton of snow here, but other than missing three days of school and messing up our schedual even further, nothing much came of it.
Anyway, i have to go, so i'll try to resolve all these issues and post more stuff soon! Have Fun!

Hindsight (That Annoying Cousin of Retrospect)

Yeah, apperently, my vocabulary has been stuck in a rut, particularly in the area of looking back. That's right, I'm looking back at looking back.

In other news, my i'm sitting at school while there's four inches of snow outside. But that's not the weird part. It's supposed to snow a few more inches by noon. And, after that, the wind will pick up to twenty-five or thirty miles per hour. And we still have school. Stupid school district. But, it gets weirder. Digital Electronics, the class i'm in now and from where i usually blog, had an interesting experince today. Yeah, we went outside and learned about how power lines work, how the perfect snowball is made, and who in the class is particularly cold hearted. Get it?

Yeah, so, you know, blizzard. Fun stuff. It occured to me while i was outside, this is the first time in a long time that i've been in snow more than two inches deep. I love it. I think i'm going to have a snow party later this week. Yeah, and everyone is invited. Heck, we can make it state Skip School (Including Your Practice ACT) And Play In The Snow Day tomorrow. That'd be a glorious waste of time, the best kind.

In other news, i was working on a post on my laptop about the technology from RC that was unveiled in chapter eight, and i also am writing chapter nine, including a large map of the facility. Lots of stuff on my plate, and i feel i'm making adequate progress. You'll get to see stuff soon.

Also, i intened to start a video log, since i now have a computer that likes SD cards, a camera that also likes them, and that same computer also has webcam. I did a video yesterday before scholastic. It was twenty minutes long, featured many people, had a song sung by my friend Claire and accompanied by another friend, Blake, on guitar, and featured Yours Truly on a little accidental tour of the school. It was such a happy experience, i think i'm going to keep it up.

Other than the snow, the books, and the video log, i don't think anything particularly great is happening. So, I'll let this first post of the year sit here and try to be more frequent. I promise it'll be a lot better when i get internet at home.
